Bryerly Long
American actress, writer and director. Recent graduate of UCLA's Professional Programs in Screenwriting and Producing and ESCAC's Directing Masters. Trained professionally in ballet and contemporary dance (Merce Cunningham Dance Studio New York), and graduated with highest honors from the University of Oxford (BA Oxon, First Class, 2010). Long began her acting career in Japan with the Seinendan Theatre Company. Her first film role was in "Hospitalite" by FUKADA Koji, which won awards at the Tokyo International Film Festival and Bucheon Fantastic Film Festival. She went on to star in "Sayonara" by FUKADA, based on the play by the same name, in which she acted opposite a real android robot. "Sayonara" premiered at the Tokyo International Film Festival and IFF Rotterdam, and was released in cinemas in Japan and France to critical acclaim. Long is the first foreign actress to have appeared on stage in Japan both in contemporary theatre and in Yoshimoto's "Shinkigeki", a popular form of Japanese sketch comedy. She is fluent in French, German, English, Japanese and Spanish, and has performed on stage across Asia, Europe, North America and Australia. Berlinale Talent Acting Lab 2017.
