Lauren Beatty
Lauren Beatty is an award-winning Canadian actor, director, producer, singer, and sketch comedian. She is a proud member of the LGBTQ2S+ community, and tends to gravitate towards work made by, and created for her community. Lauren is also the co-founder of Humblecore.ca a production company and content house where she writes, produces, and stars in comedic sketches that have been showcased at the TO Sketch Fest, one of Canada's most renowned comedy film festivals, two years in a row.
A graduate with honors from Humber's Acting for Film & Television Program (2010) with a diverse background in musical theatre, theatre, writing, producing, and directing - make Beatty a uniquely diverse artist with an exceptional understanding of her industry and her craft.
Her Film & TV credits include 'Pay The Ghost' (Voltage Pictures) where she starred alongside Nicolas Cage, 'Jigsaw' (Tricycle Productions), 'Flashpoint' (Pink Sky), 'Bleed With Me' (BWM Productions) & 'Bloodthirsty' (Voice Pictures/775 Productions) a two-time Canadian Screen Award-nominated feature that is Certified Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes, in which Beatty also sang all lead vocals. Her performance in 'The Last Day', a short film she both wrote and acted in, awarded her Best Actress at the Toronto 48hr Film Festival 2019, and her work has been written about in Variety, Hollywood Reporter, The New York Times, Indiewire and The Guardian.
