Mitch was raised in California's Bay Area where he learned to play guitar and create short FX heavy films. He found modest success upon moving to Spokane, WA in 1990 where he took the role of John Lennon in a Beatles tribute band called "Meet Revolver". He began working on short films in 2004 with writer/director Ron Ford (The Fear). He was able to realize his dream of doing make-up and VFX. One of these films (Man in a Saddle) won him the Harryhausen Award for special effects in 2012.
