Prosit Roy
Prosit Roy is an Indian film director and filmmaker, best know for directing pathbreaking Web Show - Paatal Lok and Feature Film Pari. Equipped with the skills learnt on the job, he wrote, directed and produced the short film Bloody Moustache in 2015. He also directed one of the first Indian mini-series in collaboration with Sony Liv. He made his debut as a feature film director with the critically acclaimed Pari, starring Anushka Sharma. The horror drama film was a genre bender, redefining what horror films have come to mean in the subcontinent. Followed by Pataal Lok, the crime-thriller show Created by Sudip Sharma, which Prosit co-directed with Avinash Arun. The web series has been touted as "the best Indian web-series" and won rave reviews across the critics and audience for which he won the Filmfare OTT Awards for Best Director, among other accolades. Along with an enumerative gaze over the Long Format storytelling, Prosit has disseminated his dexterity over the advertising ground as well, directing campaigns for leading brands such as Pampers, Amazon, HDFC Bank and Tata Sky. His debut campaign for 'Pampers' ranked amongst the Top-50 Advertising Campaigns of 2021 by Campaign India.
