Rajesh Tiwary
Rajesh Tiwary hails from Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, but was raised in Howrah, West Bengal. He received his primary education in Howrah and later attended Calcutta University for his college education. He had a passion for cinema since beginning. After graduation, he started working in a private company but soon discovered that his true passion was acting. With a lifelong aspiration to become an actor, Rajesh left his job and enrolled in the renowned "Sangeet Kala Mandir" to hone his acting skills. Despite the challenges of balancing work, family, and acting classes, he persevered for six years. Eventually, Rajesh relocated to Mumbai to pursue his dream.
Rajesh made his screen acting debut in 2003 with film director Neeraj Pandey's "Kambakht Ishq - Ittefaq," where he shared the screen with renowned actor KK Menon. Despite a few unnoticed roles on the small screen, he made his big screen debut in 2011 with Kamleshwar Mukherjee's Bengali film "URO CHITTHI." In this film, he played a cameo role as "Salim." Later, in 2012, Rajesh was offered the opportunity to play the character of "Panu Babu" in the acclaimed series "Gora," which was based on a novel by Tagore.
In 2013, Rajesh was offered the role of Ram Chandra, the elder brother of Swami Vivekananda, in the film "The Light - Swami Vivekananda." That same year, he had the opportunity to work with late National Award-winning director Buddhadeb Dasgupta on the Hindi film "Anwar ka Ajab Kissa". In this film, he shared the screen with renowned and versatile actor Nawazuddin Siddiqi and played the character of "Iqbal".
In 2016, Rajesh was a part of the highly successful film "MS DHONI," in which he played the character of "Rakesh." That same year, he was also a part of the film "Chhoti Moti Batein - Sweet Home," presented by the late Buddhadeb Dasgupta. He shared the screen with well-known Bollywood actors Kulbhushan Kharbanda and Tanisha Chatterjee. In 2018, Rajesh continued his acting journey with the film "The Great Freedom Fighter Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak - Swaraj My Birthright," directed by Vinay Dhumale.
In 2020, he was privileged to collaborate with legendary cricketer Sourav Ganguly in an advertisement film for Fortune Company. The following year, he was honored with the opportunity to share the screen with Bollywood star Abhishek Bachchan in the highly-anticipated film "BOB BISWAS". He portrayed the role of the LIC manager, who was the protagonist's boss. In 2022, he also had the chance to work with the talented actor Pankaj Tripathi in the film "SHERDIL". He played the part of a news anchor in this film, bringing his character to life with his versatile acting skill.
Apart from being a good and versatile actor, Rajesh is an an avid reader of books and novels, loves exploring new destinations, and he is an enthusiastic music lover too.
