Ryan Groves
Ryan Groves is an actor, writer and producer from Greenville, Mississippi and is best known as an actor, writer and producer of the forthcoming web series, "The Ploy." A graduate of Rutgers University, Groves began his acting career as an extra in the independent film, "Stuck," directed by Stuart Archer.
Shortly after his move to Los Angeles, Groves landed a role as "Liam" in the short film, "Getting Help." Groves also accepted television roles in "Delirium" and "Legends," starring Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings trilogy), Tina Majorino (Napoleon Dynamite, True Blood) and Ali Larter (Resident Evil: Afterlife) and in film with a featured role in "April Rain," directed by Luciano Saber.
Groves cites writing as his first love, drawing and writing scripts for his own comic book as a child. What began as a hobby eventually came to life in the form of his graphic novel, "Red Herring." Encouraged by friends and family, Groves developed the idea for "The Ploy," where the superheroes from his childhood's active imagination are brought to the forefront in the form of an emerging web series. Season one of "The Ploy" is set to premiere on YouTube in early 2014.
Groves can be seen on the popular TBS sitcom "Ground Floor," the FOX comedy-drama "Rake," starring Emmy Award winner, Greg Kinnear and in the upcoming feature film, "Dominion" as Sgt. Ray.
