Lanie McAuley is an actress and singer based in Los Angeles. She is best known for her recurring role as musician Emma Rogers on Hallmark's Chesapeake Shores, and as Liza in the Netflix apocalypse drama How It Ends starring Forest Whitaker. Originally from Vancouver, McAuley got her start in entertainment when she booked a Mattel commercial at the age of one. She has also had recurring principal roles in notable Quebec series' "Oh My Lord!" (VRAK TV) and "L'ascenseur" (Ici TOU.TV). Other film and TV credits include Daniel Roby's 'Most Wanted', Patricia Chica's "Montreal Girls", CBC television "The Detectives", and a number of festival circulating short films. Lanisa has also done voice work for video game, radio ad campaigns / commercials, corporate video narrations, and is an independent singer-songwriter. Before jumping into film and television, Lanisa began acting professionally when was hired by an overseas entertainment company as 'Resident Actress' during a one year tenure. Throughout the year with the company, she portrayed a variety of colourful characters while touring & performing pantomime style theatre all over Hong Kong, Macau, and Guangzhou China. She was also a workshop facilitator, leading drama programs for youth. Lanisa studied classical acting for two years full-time in Dawson College's Professional Theatre Program, and continued with advanced training at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York, graduating with a Diploma from their Summer Conservatory Program.

She attended the Youth Performing Arts School (YPAS) for high school where her desire for acting blossomed. After serving 10 years in the United States Army Reserves, Lanisha went full force back into her acting. She performed in many local theatre companies in Kentucky. Since moving to New York City in 2016, Lanisha has had speaking contributions on Chicago P.D., I Am Homicide, The Last O.G., POWER, New Amsterdam, several independent films & projects, and an internet commercial. Lanisha is no stranger to hard work and sacrifice. She is a go-getter with a tremendous amount of God given natural talent. She has been a student of several different acting workshops and schools to include the New York Film Academy (NYFA).
